About

Well, my name is John McDuffie. I’m a professional graphic artist, photographer, and web developer. I have over 20 years of experience as a professional graphic artist and photographer. I’m working in my 15th year as a professional web designer and developer.

I think I’ve been developing websites since there was an internet. My number one goal is to provide original web design and innovative development for anyone. I honestly enjoy web development.

My photography work is centered around weddings and nature photography. I shoot weddings to help pay the bills and I shoot nature because I love doing it. I also do some work with models on a TFP and TFCD basis. The last three or four years I’ve started doing more photojournalism work.

I started in graphic design when computers were too expensive for the average person to own. The only computer most people had back then was a scientific calculator if that. Things have come a long way.

Did I mention that I’m also a writer? I don’t consider myself a professional writer. I’ve never written for a national publication or been assigned a writing project. I write for businesses, my blog, and occasionally a handful of newspapers.

The odd part is that as a child and through most of my teenage years, I wanted to be a writer. Okay, I still want to be a writer. Writing is the starting point for all my other talents. I started taking photographs because I planned to tie that into my writing and become a photojournalist. Graphic design became part of my life because I started working in the design and advertising department at newspapers hoping to work my way into writing for them. Web development evolved from copywriting for businesses. I was writing copy for websites and decided, “It can’t be that hard to just build the entire thing”.

In all things, I am a professional freelancer. I enjoy knowing my clients are happy and will always return to me because I give them what they want and need. I don’t push products they don’t really need just to pad the price tag.
